Different Wholesale Textiles and Where They Come From

The oldest textiles are 7,000 years old. They were originally made with flax and wool, although today most wholesale fabric is made of synthetic fibers. There are three categories of textiles: woven, knitted, and miscellaneous. Discount woven textiles are made in large factories with looms. Knitted fabrics are made by machines that intertwine different fibers with thousands of needles. Other fabrics are made with resined fibers. Sometimes the fibers are pressed tight by hot metal rolls.

The first synthetic wholesale textiles were viscose, and were made to take the place of silk. Wood was treated with a chemical that extracted its cellulose, from which the viscose fibers are used to create wholesale textiles. Today fabrics like nylon are made from long polymers, which are heated and filled into a tube.

When you buy wholesale textiles you can save a lot of money. Because you’re buying in bulk you can make use of your fabrics in many different ways. If you know how to sew you can make a number of dresses. If you want to refurnish your chairs, just give them a quick reupholster. Sometimes it’s inspired by the seasons, other times it’s inspired by events. When things get stale, whether it be a relationship or your living room decorative fabrics, they need airing out. That’s the problem of the human condition. How much air does you need so things don’t feel stale any more?

Do you want entirely new decorative fabrics for your chairs? Or is it enough to move your couch around to the other side of the room and get a new house plant? It’s up to you. You can ask around, look at magazines to see the other styles, but ultimately you’ll know in your heart and soul whether you need new upholstery fabrics or you can make do without them.

Don’t feel bad for your old upholstery fabrics. There’s a lot of different upholstery fabrics out there. You used the old ones, they served you well, it’s time to begin again. And that’s okay. That’s what life’s all about. You’ll always remember the old decorative fabrics and all the good times you had with them. And that’s worth a lot.

“Well. Waverly fabrics are particularly versatile, they have a lot of colors and designs and look good with nearly everything, um, P Kaufmann fabrics are another good choice. We have a lot of cotton prints, it really depends what you like.”
“Okay, can you show me some?”
“Sure.”
“You said you’re looking to redo a living room?”
“Yes.”
“These Ancient King patterns are lovely.”
“Oooh. Yeah, they’re nice.”
“The Dawson Toile is also popular, if you’re going for a lighter feel in the room. What color is it?”
“It’s a light beige.”
“Okay, well you have some room to experiment then. Do you have a lot of big heavy furniture?”
“Not really. We have two armchairs and a leather couch.”
“Well it comes down to the tones you want to set. It sounds like you may need something darker and deeper, and so the Ancient King paisley is a great choice. Any other rich cotton P Kaufmann fabrics are a good idea. Red, green, navy. It’s all up to you.”
“Okay, thank you.”
“My pleasure, just let me know if you have any more questions.”

Color and Decorative Fabrics

discount textilesInterior design is a great skill to have. It involves balance, rhythm, color and energy. It is a way of life, one could say. Because if an area of your interior design is lacking, such as if the discount textiles, for example, don’t match the rest of a room, the whole thing will be thrown off.

The decorative fabrics you choose for your home are a great way to add vivacious color and feeling to a room. Bright colors like red, yellow or orange are great ways to invite people into a room – they are known as advancing colors. Green and blue are receding colors. But that doesn’t mean that a green room can’t be inviting. There are many different shades of blue, for example, that can look warm and inviting. It’s important to think about the light of a room, which can create different tones. And it depends if it’s natural or artificial,  or fluorescent.

Ultimately, think about what colors appeal to you most. Go with your gut and don’t over think it. With so many decorative fabrics to choose from, it can be tricky. If you really can’t decide, think about using your other option for a different room in the house.

Don’t Wait Any Longer For Wholesale Fabrics

decorative fabricsWaiting to redo your living room with decorative fabrics can be tricky. You want it to look good, but your current discount textiles on your chairs aren’t that faded. Maybe you can wait a few more months. Or you can do it next year.

And so you become bored, fatigued with looking at the same wholesale textiles you bought last decade. It’s never quite the right time to invest in new decorative fabrics.

What if I told you not to worry about when the right time is to switch from those old discount textiles to bright new upholstery fabrics. What if you were able to convince yourself not to worry about the money and the process of tearing it up and putting on the new ones and this and that and you instead just did it. Just acted on your gut response to buy some new discount textiles and make your living room look the way you want.

That’s living. Acting on what you want and embracing it – no longer putting anything off or setting it aside. Because when you do that who knows what could happen. You could be diagnosed with breast cancer – goodness forbid – and then you’ll never be able to switch your wholesale fabric. That’s the way regrets are born. So do it today and live already.

Wholesale Textiles Would Make Fine Dresses

wholesale fabricSometimes I wish I could wear the discount textiles I find. Imagine draping yourself in silk jacquard. How cool would that look?

I’d walk into the party draped in discount textiles that I’ve crafted into dresses and pants and my friends would ask, is that Balenciaga? Is she wearing Gucci? And I’d smile knowingly and give myself a metaphorical pat on the back.

Who knows, maybe there’d be someone in the industry at the party and they’d recognize that the work was a product of my own ingenuity.

The more exotic the wholesale fabric the better. And I’m not afraid. Remember that episode of Seinfeld where George says, “I would drape myself in velvet if it were socially acceptable.” Well I consider myself to be a trendsetter. So even if it’s not socially acceptable, I’ll make it so.

I’m talking about actually making clothing from these wholesale textiles in a creative and unique fashion. It helps that I know how to see and tailor clothing. And it’s great having so many options in colors and wholesale fabric. And yes it’s going to be hard work, but what isn’t? I’ll take pride in my hours spent laboring when I can wear my new dress to that party. Let’s see what I can do.
